Craven Inter-Schools Judo

The Craven Schools Judo League

Our inter-schools judo league was created to give our players a fun & friendly introduction to competition. The league fixtures allow our players to learn the rules of the game and represent their school in an exciting, challenging & meaningful way before moving on to bigger events outside of the club.

The League is made up of 6 fixtures; all of which are held at our new dojo at Ingleton i centre. The fixtures are ran each half term with 3 running during the evenings on one of our club night and 3 taking place during school time. Players gain points based on their result at each event; 25pts for 5th place, 50pts for Bronze, 75pts for Silver & 100pts for Gold. There is also a further 100pt bonus if Gold medallists manage to win all their contests by Ippon.

We have separate boys & girls leagues as well as a Schools League Table which is worked out by taking the total of the 5 top scoring players from each school.

Well done to Ingleton Primary School who won the 2018/19 season. Unfortunately due to the Corona virus Pandemic, our 2019/20 season was cancelled and we have postponed the start of this season until the British Judo Associations restrictions have been adequately relaxed.
